Description | One of a pair of moccasins. Native tanned hide, separate upper (sewn at heel), tongue, and ankle flap (all sinew sewn). Upper beaded with white background, large "V" shape in green and red on vamp, small terraced triangles in red, blue and green along sole edge (all done in lazy stitch using sinew). Buckskin ties attached around ankle flaps. Condition: some areas of bead loss, split in heel seam on one moccasin (.2). Evidence of native repairs. |
