Description | One of a pair of moccasins made from one piece of soft moose hide with a center seam along the toe and heel. The tongue has floral embroidery in multicolored silk. Three semicircular bands in red, green, and blue line the edge of the tongue where it attaches to the upper. A cuff is sewn on to the moccasin and folded over. The upper edge of the cuff has a strip of orange cloth sewn on and a green, silk bow is attached at the front over the tongue. Black wool cloth is sewn to the moccasin just below the cuff and the lower edge is cut into a toothed pattern. |
