Description | In form of a bird with animal on back. "Used during initiation into secret societies". Bottom fastened to top by rawhide through piercings and nailed at back. Breast and wings of bird and shoulders and rump of animal painted with alternate lines of red and blue dashes. Blue paint, animal: legs, half collar, sides of face; bird; line above breast. Black paint, animal: nose, center of body, tail; bird: head, belly. |
