Description | Sommerville: Antique paste intaglio. A Bacchante decorated with fruit and flowers. Antique Pastes, Case VVV. Vermeule: Glass paste, imitating Sard. Intaglio. (Unmounted) Head of Alexander the Great facing to left. He wears the lion's skin in the manner of IVth B.C. and later Macedonian tetradrachms and the marble head in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Graeco-Roman. |
