Description | Large, heavy, rectangular shield, somewhat broader at top than at bottom, convex with central keel. Wooden supports with cross pieces lashed onto them at back. Two large faces, one above the other, carved on front. Notched circles around faces, notched lines above and below faces, notched arcs, etc. at bottom. Eyes, faces, etc., outlined with white dots. Black, with white, red, yellow pigments. Damage front center, through nose and mouth of upper face and down into forehead of lower face. |
