Description | Tomb 1 = Herscher, Tomb 801. Red polished III black-topped bowl. Fragmentary. Very light red-brown clay. Traces of lustrous red slip; gray interior and areas of exterior. Round base, hemispherical body, incurving rim; no lug preserved. Incised decoration: vertical hatched zigzags arranged antithetically, concentric circles in the spaces; at rim, horizontal band of joined hatched lozenges. |
