Description | Cotton. Narrow red, white, blue-white jaspe stripes. Wide blue center stripe. Brocade in diagonal stripes in blocks of 6 consecutive colors forming diagonal rows of parallelograms on the opposite diagonal. Red-orange, yellow, green, fuschia and white. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 48 epi, two singles, Z twist, white cotton. Two singles, Z twist, white and blue ikat cotton. Three singles, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: 14 ppi, three singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft is single faced. One panel, three selvedges with fringe at one end. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
