Description | Painted. Bottle necked. Shoulder fluted; two vertical loop handles on shoulder. Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a squat-globular body, missing neck, missing rim, 2 cord (round cross-section) handles on the body, and a flat base. No molded/modeled additions. there are regular vertical depressions in the top half of the body. The body of the vessel has regular vertical depressions. The vertical ridges and depressions are painted red, orange, black, and green(?). The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1526." |
