Description

The object is identified as a Hopi Chaveyo Ogre or the Giant Kachina. The Kachina is carved, painted wood with a leather cape and protruding eyes and mouth, and a wide embroidered sash hanging from the proper right hip (PR). The figure holds a stick in the proper left hand. The head is adorned with seven main feathers secured on the back of its head with many other smaller feathers around that area. Orge is written on the bottom of the proper let foot.

Paint colors: white, black, gray, light purple, brown, green, light blue, blue.
