Description | The Kachina of carved painted wood represents a hunter, the Great Horned Owl Woman, a mottled owl with yellow eyes, long yellow beak, and dark brown fur collar ruff. The figure holds no objects. Her wing like “ears” are elongated and flat. The figure wears a woman's black manta dress, white, red, and blue maiden style shawl, a white belt, ties at wrists, and white moccasin boots. Paint colors: white, black, red, brown, green, blue, gray, yellow, orange. |
