Description | The object is identified as a Zuni Figure. The Kachina is carved painted wood with a fur kilt, felt and yarn belt with metal embellishments as a concho belt. The figure has black hair and accessories on both wrists and ankles. The Kachina has a red, blue and green glass bead necklace and a hide fringed bib; at the shoulders are earrings made of metal wire covered with thin paper/fabric. Paint colors: white, black, red, orange and turquoise. |
