Description

Core of clay in the crude shape of an elephant. Only one of the legs is still attached. This belongs to a set of objects that document the Dhokra brass-casting process. The first step entails creating a clay core which will serve as the inner support of the object. The artisan then wraps strips of wax around the core to create the piece.
