Description | Woven basketry cylinder of palm fiber with loops at both ends. Manioc requires processing to remove its poisinous toxins before it is cooked and eaten. The plant tubers are first grated and soaked in water. The pulp is placed inside the press, hung from a tree, and pulled to squeeze out the toxins. |
