Description

Section of rim and flange of lid of pyxis. hard, buff clay. Underside unglazed. Top covered with cream colored slip on which designs are painted in black glaze. Outer to inner: 3 wheel painted lines; 5 rows of dicing, each separated by a wheel painted line; 3 wheel painted lines; dot rosette.
