Description

Clay mold containing an elephant made of a clay core and resin strips which has been covered in an outer layer of clay. This belongs to a set of objects that document the Dhokra brass-casting process. The fourth step entails covering the piece with a layer of clay to create a mold in which melted down brass scraps can be poured into via a crucible.
