Description | A long blade (.1) with a plain wooden handle. The sheath (.2) is made of a collection of bamboo strips bound together at top by interweaving of rattan strips. The top flares out due to rattan strips. It is used for soft work such as cooking or other activities that don't require as sharp an edge for cutting (e.g. woodworking). (It was 10 years old at the time of the acquisition in 1981). |
