Description | Jug with small raised spout. Fine, pink (7.5 YR 8/4) clay, with decoration in dark paint. Wiped with water. Bands on rim, base of neck, and body. Intact except for handle and tip of spout. The unburnished surface and matte paint suggest MM III, but early LM I is also possible. Related to Walberg 1983: Shapes 113 and 134. |
