Description | Arabic document. Marked "Faijum b." by W. M. Muller (?). Eight documents contained in this papyrus all originating with the brothers Mina and Kayl sons of Shenude the Secretary, two Coptic landowners of the Fayyum. Recto: (4 documents) acknowledgements by different Coptic farm hands as to their obligation to cut the crop on the owner's land. Verso: (4 documents) refer to debts in wheat. Date: Jumada II - Sha-ban, 268 A.H. / Dec. 27, 881 to March 24, 882 A.D. |
