Description | Altar to the Hand (Ikegobo). Solid cylinder of dark wood with handle projecting from top, sides carved with motifs of the hand in relief. Round the sides, reading clockwise from a point nearest to the projection, are a leopard or crocodile head (?), 2 kola nuts, a left hand, a beaker (2 kola nuts, a duiker horn, and a left hand. |
