Description | Hair band. "Txah b'al" motif. Red ground with green, yellow, blue, purple, pink, black, orange and white geometric forms. Two tasseled fringes. Aniline dyes used. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 58 epi, two ply, red cotton. Two strands, two ply, white, blue, yellow and green cotton. Weft: 24 ppi, two strands, two ply, red cotton. Supplementary weft is double faced. Warp faced plain weave. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
