Description | Sandstone head with colored glass inlay. Front side of face and back of neck is inlaid with green pieces of glass, the back of head/hair in blue, and the back of the ears, ear lobes and crown in gold piece of glass. Traces of white gesso is evident in many places where the inlay has fallen off. The top of the crown is missing. Broken off at the neck. Late Ayutthaya or early Bangkok period. |
