Description | Crudely shaped, high knob handle, wide nozzle; roughly molded decoration of an amphora on the nozzle flanked by bunches of grapes and on the sides of the lamp is a faint scrolling grape vine; brown ware; nozzle blackened by use. Card says it was found with Roman and Byzantine lamps. |
