Description | Probably war club. Tip of antler prong is han-dle end and has (for a grip) leather binding of 3 cm. width held in place by thing sinew thread passed through holes bored on either side of leather wrapping. Crotch in antler at other end. Another prong cut off, hollowed a little to form animal's mouth, and separate piece for tongue fitted in. Edges of mouth serrated. Incised lines on top of snout. Eyes indicated by incised circle. Hole bored through club near outer edge of crotch. |
