Description | Checker weave. Broad border which is not only around outer edges but also on either side of twined line which marks center where weaving started. Black, red and plain used. In 8 border corners, the checkered bands cross and form plaid. Plaid also occurs in 4 places on each side border. Strands inserted as every other warp just for width of border. 2 holes worn on either side. Used double. |
