Description | Crescent shaped metal rattle (opend on bottom edge). Leather strap perpendicular to middle of rattle. Strap is decorated with white, red, green and yellow beads. The top of leather piece is stiff and bent forward. On that piece are two cowrie shells with a small blue beads on edge. Two leather straps are at the top of the leather strip and one at the base of the strip. It is supposed that they were used to hold the rattle in place around an arm or leg. |
