Description

This piece is a tiny groundstone adze. It was the bit in a component tool and probably had a bone handle. such pieces were useful in woodworking. The edge shows slight traces of wear. It is extremely well made. I am no expert on groundstone tools, but my inclination is that the piece should be assigned a late (probably Neolithic) date on account of its small size.
