Description

Woman's ceremonial belt. Red cotton with light blue and yellow edges. Brocaded in a gold, orange, white, green, blue and purple silk geometric design. Heavy brocading at both ends with cross bars in the center. Warps plaited at ends.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 104 epi, two ply, yellow and salmon cotton. Weft: 12 ppi, multistrand, white cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. Woven on a backstrap loom."
