Description

Wooden harp without strings. The body is of half a hollowed-out log with a slightly curved panel of wood covering the long open face of the log. This panel has seven small holes in a line for strings; it is also lightly incised with a triangular geometric design. The neck is in the shape of an abstract human head with a long neck. This neck flares out into a hollowed-out bowl near the point where the neck meets the body. A thin wooden stick is inserted into the body and is held against the neck by grass twine which is looped through a hole bored through the neck.
