Description

Sommerville: alabaster. A Cameo. Too worn for recognition. found in the Tiber. Once the property of Marshal Blucher, as evidenced by the certificate held by the collector. Greek and Roman Cameos, Case G.

Vermeule: Alabaster. Cameo (Unmounted). Laureate draped bust of a ruler of the Middle Ages. Perhaps of the Hoheustaufeu, facing left. Said to have been the property of Marshall Blucher. [Field Marshal Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher]
