Description | Rawhide. Sealskin float for whale harpoon line. Each end gathered, cord bound (loose at one end), and pierced with wooden peg. Two holes in side also gathered and bound, one plugged with wood disk which is pierced and plugged in center. Each of these four openings is surrounded by a red painted area bounded by three narrow concentric bands, black, red, black. One end of skin is badly torn, exposing fur. |
