Description

Vermeule: Grey Jasper. Draped bearded bust of a man facing right; a diadem or fellet about his head. The features suggest those of a Hellenistic ruler, perhaps an Eastern Greek King of the II - I century B.C. cf. coins of Mithradates I of Parthia C. 160 B.C. Graeco-Roman.
