Description | Clam basket? oblong; rounded bottom (i.e. warps start from top and curve under ending at opposite top). Made of splints from pine? Openwork twining with vertical warps fairly close together. Edge has additional materials added to make a pro-nounced rim which is simply bound with thin split. A few vertical strips of squaw grass overlaid on warp- orange, purple, light color- on broad sides; do not cross bottom. |
