Description | Executioner's sword. Wooden Handle; a piece of flat brass wire is wrapped around the body of handle; two rectangular pieces of flat iron are found on both ends of handle; four grooves, one on each side of handle; tip of the base of the blade protrudes from the base of handle, body of blade is narrow with a small loop found towards the inner base of the blade; a strip of leather is wrapped loosely around the wooden handle and through the small iron loop; horizontal V shaped head; circular tack is found in the center of the head; inner part of handle is outlined with an incised groove. |
