Description | Akua'ba fertility doll of type worn by girls; worn in waist of cloths in hope of bearing good looking children; elongated, flat, inverted trapezoidal head with traces of decorative tufts at top; small stylized features in champleve at bottom; small pierced ears; sides and back decorated with triangles hatched and other hatched motifs, filled with white pigment; neck ringed; truncated narrow conical body with small round foot; small piriform breasts; four group[s of 3 "scars", four multicolored glass bead necklaces (modern string) at neck with one extra stringer with carnelian and other beads; 2 glass necklaces at foot. |
