Description | Catfish trap in the form of a cylindrical basket with a narrowed neck. It is free-standing. The bottom has a small opening which has inward pointing sticks allowing a fish to swim in but preventing it from swimming out. It is used in September and October when fish migrate. It is baited with termites and used for catching naked catfishes also known as bagrid catfishes. |
