Description | A farming tool with a long wooden handle with a metal piece attached by small nails. The flat metal blade (half oval, straight near handle) is attached to the handle by a cylindrical metal shaft. This tool is used to break the earth and to cut weeds in corn fields using a shallow probing motion. This is not used in the Ban Chiang area. It may have come from Phu Kra Dueng (ภูกระดึง), Loei Province (จังหวัดเลย). |
