Description

Red plain weave cotton serves as ground for stripes running parallel to selvedges; [green, yellow and some ikat]; geometric forms brocaded with silk threads; Two breadths joined by silk thread randas.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 52 epi, two singles, Z twist, cotton. Weft: 36 ppi, two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Supplementary weft is single faced and two faced. Two panels, three selvedges each. Woven on a backstrap loom."
