Description

A woven basket of bamboo (Bambusa sp. ไม้ไผ่บ้าน) and rattan (หวาย). It has a a handle which is broken off one of the sides. It is used as a weaving basket to hold threads. A bag of bobbins with thread and a plant fiber comb are stored inside the basket. The owner was a Mrs. Khiao Montriphithak (เขียว มนตรีพิทักษ์) who is Angkhanas mother (Mrs. Angkhana Bunphong อังคณา บุญพงษ์). It was 30 years old when it was collected in 1981. It is likely that it holds the bobbins and thread meant for the textile in the loom 82-7-265.
