Description

Lidded basket. Technical notes: twined, close twined, two-strand, wrapped weft ("false embroidery"), in-between weave (with plain), three-strand; 11 warps and 14 wefts per square inch; Body: 10 warp, 14 weft; Lid knob: 11 warp, 15 weft; Lid; 10 warp, 17 weft; Lid lip: 9 weft. Lid is not original to this basket; no rattle in lid, was a rattle-top lid, but the inner weaving is broken.
