Description | High-walled bowl. Reddish-buff clay, very thin-walled, well levigated and fired very hard. The black, metallic glaze was applied thinly and has worn off in spots. Stacking ring. The pot wall was not completely smoothed, but, neverthless, the attempt to imitate metal is evident. Low, unglazed, conical base. The bowl was broken into 3 pieces at some point and repaired in modern times. |
