Description | A manuscript preserving a collection of chanting texts in Pali and Thai languages. This is the middlepart of a manuscript that goes with the cover (.1) under the title Phra Aphitham Chet Khamphi. Another middle section of a separate manuscript (.3) is not part of this particular text. The main text is Pali text written in Khom script. Paratexts mark the end of each part written in Thai language with Khom script. Chanting markers between the lines are added with the red ink, possibly around the same time as the main text. It is part of the Pali chanting book ( Aphitham Chet Khamphi ), which is usually a collection of various Pali chanting texts. All the text found in this fragment are those used for chanting for healing illnesses. |
