Description | Rim fragment of a vertical sided pot with diagonal fluting on the exterior; to one side of the diagonal fluting is part of a raised circle from which issue a number of short raised lines, a decoration perhaps representing the sun. Black ware burning brown, slip on both surfaces burning red on the interior, red on the exterior at the rim, and black on the rest of the body; both surfaces bear lustrous burnishing. Handmade. |
