Description | Made of cane shaft with carved wooden tips. A has split cane wrapping on shaft topped with a fiber band of brown and yellow over juncture of tip and shaft. Middle three-quarters of tip is squared and has fine serrations carved in alternate series down the edges; each series is about 4.5 cm. Below serrations show signs of red paint. Shaft of B is similar to A but wrapping is looser and shows that a leaf (?) was put underneath; small fiber bands, one of natural, one of yellow. Tip is a half-circle in cross section, and four long barbs are carved from the flat side; barbs are graduated in size from tip down so that bottom is longest and the free portion is 5.5 cm. long. Barbs show red paint. |
