Description | Pre-Nampeye, Zuni influenced style. Un-slipped cream-yellow to orange crackled surface with sloppily executed design in brown-black and red. Top to bottom: neck and shoulder band: 4 arrowlike elements which may be horizontally drawn plant with seed pod and flower; also 4 pairs of short double lines. Band below shoulder: 6 identical panela, each containing 2 angular hooks with origin in diagonally opposite corners of panel, large black fire smudge in one. Base: red. Dimple in bottom. |
