Description

Made of two breadths of fabric. Stripes[ red, green, lavender, yellow, white and blue] form borders for brocaded design. Traditonal European motifs depicted in black area of tzute [birds, fish, flowers, grape leaves] Modern tzute for rich people and tourists.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 76 epi, 2 ply cotton. Weft - 20 ppi, black, 2 ply cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplemental weft - double faced. 2 panels - 4 selvedges each. Made on backstrap loom."
