Description | Hemispherical frame of withes (two cricles joined by two semicircles crossing at top). To this is lashed by four cords, a hollow wooden carving of the killer whale, painted red, white and blue: the dorsal fin, pegged on, has human face carved and painted at its base, and the blow-hole cut out from the center of a white painted band. Tufts of hair are added to back of fin and end of tail. |
