Description | Hollow cast brass with clay core. Dhokra work. Made by SHyama Karmakar, sold by office to Laha Emporium,, Gushkara, Bardwan District, W. Bengal. Original sticker rs 28.65. At purchase, mountain was broken from rest of piece. Had it soldered on with lead and nitric acid and filed smooth in coop by Pachai Karmakar. Standing Hanuman (Hindu monkey deity) holding mountain overhead with both hands. Filigree work. Back unfinished. |
