Description | A loom for producing the base of a woman's skirt. The loom is suspended between two long bamboo poles and one long wooden pole that is squared off at one end and has holes drilled through all four sides. The middle section consists of a textile in production with heddles and a shuttle. The loom is typically suspended from wooden beams that form an enclosure around it. The vertical beams are made up of 82-7-294F,G,H,I. The longer horizontal beams are made up of 82-7-294A,D on the top and 82-7-294C,B on the bottom. The shorter horizontal beams are made up of 82-7-282G,H on the top, and 82-7-282E,F on the bottom. The bottom back part of the loom is connected by a long bamboo section, 82-7-282B, which fits into 294B,C. The seat in the front is 82-7-294E. A basket that contains spools for the textile being made and a comb to straighten the strands is under the number 82-7-97. It has accompanying parts to help manage the threads under the numbers 82-7-300 and 82-7 301A,B. |
