Description | Crudely carved little mask of medium brown wood. Comes to a pointed top-knot. Appears to have been carved to be seen in profile since the features are on sharp planes an either side of the nose and mouth. Nose perforated. May have been attached to something else (such as a flute) since the back shows evidence of having been broken off and glued again. or it may have been used as a breast or basket ornament. |
