Description | No Original Card Revised: Flint hand axe - Thin, short, "limande." Nearly rectilinear edge at base. One face very slightly patinated a gray-white. Bad textured flint evidently prevented this face from being worked entirely. Opposite face is lustered, with a "basket" patination. A few fissures due to frost. A brown clay-like deposit adhering. France, Somme, Montieres. Upper Acheulian? See note on EU 1790a card. |
